Penske Racing Shocks grew inside the Penske organisation's competition empire into an independent-operating damper house with the parent's culture intact: race dampers built and valved in Reading, Pennsylvania — the 8700-series (8760 double-adjustables the customer-racing staple, triple and through-rod exotica above) descending from the 8300 generation's decades — serving IndyCar and sports-car paddocks, NASCAR's chassis wars, short-track's damper-obsessed dirt and asphalt scenes, and the road-racing club tier buying the professional lane's hardware.

The brand's method is race-shop intimacy: valving as consultation, dyno sheets with every build, rebuild turnarounds tuned to American race calendars, and the trackside-support tradition (Penske trucks at the majors) that keeps the customer relationship a paddock one.

Used Penskes trade on the American serviced-instrument pattern: build/rebuild records from Reading or authorised shops as the odometer, model and valving specification against application (the 8760's configurability means two identical-looking units suit different cars entirely), and shaft/body condition — with the surname's resale gravity keeping documented sets liquid.
