This BMW S38B35 inline-six was acquired about a year ago and subsequently rebuilt to a 4.0-liter displacement by Henry Lawrence of The Power Plant in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The engine retains its cast-iron block and aluminum cylinder head and is equipped with Wiseco forged pistons, Crower connecting rods, a custom crankshaft and camshafts, Supertech valve springs, and a billet dry-sump oil pan. The engine has not been run since the completion of these modifications.
