Description
This 547ci V8 was built by Jon Kaase Racing Engines for a Ford Gran Torino project and has remained unused since it was completed in early 2024. The semi-hemispherical engine is based on the Boss 429 that was available as an option on late-1960s Ford Mustangs for NASCAR homologation. It is built on an aluminum Eliminator engine block and features Kaase Racing Boss Nine cylinder heads and a KaaseStack Injection intake manifold, Borla TWM throttle bodies, Holley electronic fuel injection, Mahle pistons, a Lunati forged crankshaft, COMP Cams hydraulic roller camshaft, Manley Performance steel rods, and a Stef’s aluminum oil pan. It is also equipped with a Billet Specialties Tru-Trac front accessory drive and is designed to run on 93-octane pump fuel with 10:1 compression. This 547ci Boss Nine engine is now offered with a set of cast exhaust manifolds, a steel engine shipping cradle, a wooden shipping crate, and build documentation.
