Description
This 1,990cc BMW inline-four was built for racing by UK specialist Lester Owen for Chevron B16 race car. Modifications include high-compression pistons, Arrow connecting rods, forged steel rockers, dry-sump lubrication, electronic ignition, and a stainless steel exhaust header in addition to a lightweight clutch and flywheel. Induction is from dual 45 DCOE Weber carburetors that have been modified with 47mm bores. The engine is approximately 13 hours of run time since being overhauled by Marcovicci-Wenz Engineering of Ronkonkoma, New York in January 2019. This race-prepped BMW M10 is offered with a starter, a billet gearbox adapter plate, ITG air filters, and a 2019 dyno sheet.
